For a few weeks, Magayzine has been trial-broadcasting. At the moment broadcasting is intermittent; several stories, a special on Spanish activist Pedro Zerolo (responsible for marriage equality in Spain), some contests and full coverage of the Pride in Madrid. It will soon begin its regular programming, which will include talk shows, and especially self-produced shows.
This channel is created by Looping Media, the company which manages the popular social network and news portal Universo Gay (www.universogay.com) and the LGBT literature-focused Stonewall publisher (www.stonewall.es). With the launch of the online television channel, Looping Media widens its range of content offer for the LGBT community, thinking of a future in which contents are multimedia and accessed from mobile devices.
Magayzine aims to offer a varied and constant self-produced programming, with special focus on the LGBT community and culture. Without leaving out the fun, this TV channel was created with a goal of making culture and activism more visible and bringing them closer to the public.
The set from where most of the programs will be shot is almost ready. It is a multifunctional studio where different sets can be used depending on the type of program. The set is located in Madrid, and it will be visited by all sorts of characters from the entertainment scene, politics and LGBT culture who will participate in the shows. In fact, on the web there are several celebrities from the entertainment and culture scene greeting this new TV channel.
Programs can be watched in Full HD on the website www.magayzine.tv, as well as on the app for iOS and Android. It can also be accessed from any podcast platform, Youtube and Facebook.
