RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2 launches with an online contest

OUTtv helps all Canadians reach for drag stardom with a new contest to celebrate the Canadian premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Season 2. Any Canadian resident over the age of 19 can apply using only a digital photo at Dragulator.ca. The Dragulator takes each contestant from zero to fabulous in the time it takes to choose between a fruity cocktail and a tiara.

OUTtv’s panel of drag specialists will select the top 5 entries based on flare, originality and creativity. Winners will be announced on the OUTtv blog on June 29, 2010 and will be awarded a limited edition, autographed RuPaul "Foxy Lady" Doll.

RuPaul’s Drag Race mixes the best parts of America’s Next Top Model, Project Runway and American Idol to create the cattiest, sparkliest, most glam reality show to ever hit the airwaves. Entertainment Weekly calls it  “ridiculously addictive” and declares it “must watch” television. The drag queens strut, sew, pose, bitch and lip sync for their lives. Guest judges include Dita Von Teese, Kathy Griffin, Jackie Collins, Cloris Leachman, Debbie Reynolds and Tatum O’Neal.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2 premiered in Canada on Monday, April 13. It airs Mondays at 9pm ET/PT and repeats on Fridays at 9pm ET/PT.

RuPaul’s Untucked is the uncensored peek behind the scenes at the cat fights, drama, bitching, scheming, dressing and undressing. It airs at Monday and Friday at 10pm ET/PT after Drag Race.
