Introduction of 2010 AIDS Walk for Life Mile High Marshalls, the Founders of HIV Edmonton

HIV Edmonton is proud to announce the return of the EXTRA MILE CLUB for the 2010 Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life, held September 12, 2010.

Participants that raise $1,000 or more in support of the Walk for Life will automatically become members of the EXTRA MILE CLUB. This club has been established by HIV Edmonton to recognize and celebrate those that go the extra mile in their fundraising efforts.

In addition, HIV Edmonton has named the 2010 Mile High Marshalls, the Founders of HIV Edmonton. This illustrious group will be led by Michael Phair and will celebrate HIV Edmonton’s work since they first gathered around Michael Phair’s kitchen table in 1984.

"The Founders" consist of: Michael Phair, Charles Bidwell, Walter Cavalieri, Brian Chittock, Tom Gale, Dr. Larry Jewell, Dr. Jerry Katz, Elizabeth Massiah, Dr. Barbara Romanowski, Dr. Colin Soskolne, Herbert Toy, and Dr. Lorne Tyrell. Michael Phair and members of this group will participate in Walk for Life events.

The Mile High Marshalls serve as ambassadors of the EXTRA MILE CLUB. Benefits of membership include:
