Yoga for PMS & Healthy Menstruation

For all of yoga’s many benefits, it’s also effective in massaging the body’s internal organs. This is particularly beneficial for women during menstruation, especially for those who suffer from PMS. Yoga gives you permission to go inside, listen to your body and respond to what you hear. A hormone imbalance and sluggish liver contribute to PMS. Yoga helps alleviate PMS by relaxing the nervous system, balancing the endocrine system, increasing blood and oxygen to reproductive organs, purifying the liver, and strengthening muscles surrounding these.

Women’s Health Resources is pleased to present a workshop for women called Yoga for PMS & Healthy Menstruation with Trish Robbins, certified Yoga Instructor. In this workshop you’ll learn a sequence of yoga postures designed to alleviate symptoms of PMS, poses for healthy menstruation, breathing techniques to relax and gently open your body to regulate hormones.
