Never one to disappoint a demon, Sharon Needles breaks every godly barrier in her new single & video on lust in a high-tech world of communication. "Call Me on the Ouija Board" showcases her quirky fashion sense in an elaborate array of costumes paraded before outstanding special effects—all with her trademark satanic twist and a humorous flip of her finger.
Sharon lures you into a possessed broadcast signal, taking you into a catchy, sing-a-long ride, while paying homage to old horror movie classics. "When most kids were hiding their eyes or cowering under the covers, I was three inches away from the television when horror movies were played," Sharon remarked. "‘Call Me On The Ouija Board’ is homage not just to horror movies involving children, but my favorites as a child."
Produced and directed by Santiago Felipe, this is the second single off her successful debut album PG-13, which peaked at #3 on the iTunes Pop Chart, #9 on Dance/Electronic Albums, #4 on Heatseekers Albums, and #186 on the Billboard 200.
"It’s been beyond a privilege and honor
putting this video together for Sharon, and her trusting me with this vision
that we collaborated on. ‘Ouija Board’ is actually my favorite track off
PG-13
," Felipe said. "Once I heard it, I knew it needed to
be a single and video. I was also really obsessed with sticking her
in a clown outfit, which is something that I love, and Sharon presented was
able transform herself into stunning looks and characters!"
Recorded in the basement of the Hit Factory
at the Gibson-Baldwin Entertainment building in New York, the video was edited
by Sarah Stuve of Wonderpuss Octopus, who also did Lady Gaga’s "Alejandro," and
styled by Geoffrey Mac. "It was a thrill seeing all these characters brought to
life," Mac said.
Even journalist Michael Musto makes a cameo
appearance in the midst of satirical scenes from The Omen, Bad
Seed, Poltergeist, and The Exorcist, along with Stephen
King’s popular thrillers Children of the Corn and IT.
Coinciding with release of the video, a limited edition run of three fine art
prints taken by Santiago Felipe have been released, available exclusively at:
