Contiki announces two ‘Greek Week Pride’ summer 2017 departures featuring Mykonos and Athens Pride festivals

Contiki (www.contiki.com) is adding Pride to its ‘Greek Week’ summer 2017 product itineraries to celebrate the Greek Pride events in Athens and Mykonos. The Greek Week Pride trips will cater to all millennial travellers looking to experience an awesome Greek Pride festival teamed with the idyllic islands and cities Greece has to offer. The original ‘Greek Week’ product runs over nine days, travelling around Athens, Ios and Mykonos, with new Pride departures offering the same itinerary plus some added Pride included extras.

"Diversity and inclusivity have always been core to Contiki's values," says Lauren Howard, Director of Marketing and Digital Strategy of Contiki Holidays Canada. "Doing things with passion means living your best life, understanding your true self, championing what makes us different and opening yourself up to experiences. Travel is an experience for everyone, so LGBTQ+ or straight we're excited to bring our travellers to these events to celebrate these values."

Greek Week, Athens Pride – Departing June 9th, 2017: running for 10 days, the trip features an extra day in Athens so travellers can kick the trip off with a welcome evening in the uber cool precinct of Gazi – one of the city’s main gay hubs. The next day the group dives into the festival to see first hand how the Greek capital celebrates Pride. Priced from $1,999.

Greek Week, Mykonos Pride – Departing August 24th, 2017: sticking to the original ‘Greek Week’ itinerary of nine days, this Pride departure spends its time in Mykonos during its iconic festival, XLSIOR Mykonos. Priced from $1,929.

Contiki travellers will still be able to experience all the unforgettable bucket list musts the ‘Greek Week’ product has to offer, covering Athens, Mykonos and Ios. The trip includes breakfast every day, quad share accommodation, transport between the islands, expert Trip Managers and local guides, and local sightseeing tours that provide travellers an in-depth view of Greek history and culture.
