JTMF West is proud to announce tickets are on sale now for 2015 Artists for Life. Artists for Life will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the Club at the Citadel Theatre.
JTMF West is a local arts organization, created with the mandate of raising funds for HIV/AIDS and LGBT youth support services. This year’s beneficiaries are HIV Edmonton, Camp fYrefly, and Theatre Network.
JTMF West announced that Del Barber joins the Artists for Life family as their 2015 headliner. Recently nominated for a 2015 Juno for Best Roots Recording for "Prairieography", Del has been touring the globe all year, including dates opening for Lee Ann Womack and a 7-week tour in Australia.
Sharing the stage with Del will be Edmonton’s own Chloe Albert. Nominated for a 2014 Juno and a 2014 WCMA for Best Roots Solo Recording, Chloe won three (3) 2014 Edmonton Music Awards including one for Female Artist of the Year.
In addition to Del and Chloe, Japanese-German-Canadian soprano star Teiya Kasahara joins JTMF West for their first foray into opera. Teiya has been praised as a "magnetic performer" singing with "a dynamic mix of sweetness undercut by strength" (Opera Canada). Ms. Kasahara's performance is sponsored by Francis Price and Marguerite Trussler.
After the show, attendees will enjoy a catered reception, a silent auction filled with items donated by local artists, and a very special post-show dance party by Cornbread.
TD Bank Group returns as Title Sponsor and the Edmonton Eskimos return to sponsor the 2015 VIP Prize – two nights at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and spending money for the weekend. All attendees purchasing a VIP ticket will be entered to win and only 50 VIP tickets are available for purchase.
