Alberta Ballet is delighted to present acclaimed guest company Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo. With performances at Edmonton’s Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium January 16-17 and at Calgary’s Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium January 20- 21, this contemporary ballet marks the first performance of 2015.

New York City's Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo will perform their highbrow, hilarious, & athletically charged program. The incredible show will see the all male-troupe apply breathtaking technical prowess to ridiculously re-interpreted classical ballet favourites, including Swan Lake and Paquita.

Under the leadership of Artistic Director Tory Dobrin, this all-male group of professional ballet dancers performs a full range of dance repertoire, bringing audiences to unstoppable laughter by incorporating and exaggerating the quirks, accidents, and underlying incongruities of serious dance.

WHAT CRITICS ARE SAYING:

"Highbrow hilarity from New York’s marvelous all-male ballerinas." ~ The Sunday Telegraph

"Les Trocks remains one of the great comic creations of the American stage." ~ San Francisco Chronicle

"WHOLLY SPECTACULAR!" ~ New York Times

Tickets for shows in both Calgary and Edmonton start at $29 and are available by phone in Calgary at 403-245-4549, in Edmonton at 780-428-6839 or online at http://ticket.albertaballet.com.
