This workshop is designed for front-line HIV/AIDS workers to provide accessible information about recent research, in order to better inform counseling and educational messages about the biology of HIV transmission. Topics of the workshop include: HAART as an aid to prevention; the immune system and HIV transmission; STIs and increased risk of HIV transmission; the female genital tract; and circumcision as a prevention method.
