The Western Canadian Pride Festival 2011!... July 29th- August 1st, The Western Canadian Pride Festival can be summed up in three words FUN! FUN! FUN! It’s the largest and fastest growing gay campout in the West. Our success stems directly from the great people who join us every year on the August long weekend (You all have been such a great support especially with the major changes I 've been working through this year, thank you so much ;0).
The Festival is open to all who are gay, or gay friendly; this includes our straight friends and families. Come with an open mind, and we will fill your hearts.
The WCPF has become a tradition for those who have attended in the past. For many its the highlight of their year, and with a pre-registered $120.00 gate pass or a Bring a Buddy gate pass for $220.00 it's the best bang for your buck! Enjoy 4 days of camping, dance admissions, steak dinner, karaoke, games, activities and a few other surprises.
Our purpose is to provide you with the best campout possible & to reward you for your courage in walking the journey you have all chosen to take.
Once again we will be hosting this year’s function at Watipi Lodge, centrally located between Edmonton and Calgary. (Just 5 minutes north of Blackfalds).
So, if you are free on August long weekend why not come out and play with us, … hope to see you there!
This year’s theme is "Fairytales gone wild"... Experience the bizarre, laugh at the craziness and pit your creativity against other campers to win prizes'& team trophies. And for those of you wondering about the games this year, yes mud wrestling will be back along with some new wet and wild additions. Some of our prizes include “Best decorated campsite, Best team costumes & most outlandish costume.
We are here to help you have fun again, to come out and play with us, to create, celebrate, relax and care for each other for just four days. If we can do that, and provide you with memories that make you chuckle long after you return to your lives, we have done our duty.
