'Unfriended' Isn't the Only Social Media Film

There is an apparent disconnect between the way people act in real life and on social media that is being depicted in recent films and web series. With the recent release of "Unfriended," many of these videos have been on the rise. Here are some top videos showing "social media in real life." While some producers choose to create a comical scenario, others are meant to invoke fear of what life would be life if you lived in your social network.

1. "Social Networking in Real Life"- Jena Kingsley embarks on a social experiment to see if the things people do online make sense in real life.

2. "Unfriended"- MTV captures everything gone wrong in this horror film about social media revenge.

3. "Life In Your Social Network"- The team at social exchange app Heard created a web-series featuring Gilbert Gottfried and unrealistic scenarios using candid social media quotes as the script.

4. "Things You Do Online That’d Be Creepy In Real Life"- This video proves that Buzzfeed knows the true definition of nonchalant social media outreach.

5. "Online Dating in Real Life"- Just as the title explains, this reenactment of online dating gives a retrospective look at how forward people can be.

6. "Grindr in Real Life"- This video shows the pace of how quickly people can move on a dating app.

7. "If Guys Acted On First Dates Like They Act On Tinder"- This Buzzfeed video compilation demonstrates the various awkward and to the point conversations held in person.

8. "If People Left Parties Like They Leave Facebook"- Sometimes people over-dramatize their departure from a social platform and this video showcases just that.

9. "Best of Real Life Trolling" – This is how Twitter trolling would look in real life.
