5th Anniversary Gala Event features All-Stars from 1st four years WiL to return as featured artist.
JTMF West is proud to announce tickets are on sale now for 2014 Artists for Life at www.citadeltheatre.com. 2014 Artists for Life will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 in the Club at the Citadel Theatre.
JTMF West is a local arts organization, created with the mandate of raising funds for HIV/AIDS and LGBT youth support services. 2014 Artists for Life raises funds for HIV Edmonton and Camp fYrefly. This year`s event is the 5th Anniversary Gala event and will feature the Artists for Life All- Stars, audience favorites from the first four years.
Tickets are $50, which includes a full night of entertainment, a post-show concert, and a catered reception. VIP Tickets are available for $100 and include entry into a special prize draw to win a trip for 2 to Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and $1,000 in Fairmont Gift Cards, courtesy of Minsos Stewart Masson. A silent auction rife with donated art from local artists completes the evening. There will be more than 50 local artists participating in this year’s event. Tax receipts are available for a portion of all ticket purchases.
Fans may also purchase $20 tickets for the concert only.
JTMF West is proud to bring back 2013 Artists for Life Alumni, WiL as the featured artist for 2014. Hitting the Canadian music scene in 2004 with his debut album ‘Both Hands’ which earned him three WCMA nods including ‘Entertainer of the Year’, WiL has since released three additional studio albums, 2 EP’s and most recently, a live album.
Lately, his music is gaining international recognition from a string of songs which feature in Travel Alberta’s award winning media campaign called ‘Remember To Breathe’. The flagship video 'Alberta' featuring ‘Roam’ won the Diamond Award in 2012 for Best Overall Entry at ITB Berlin (considered the OSCARS of International Travel and Tourism Industry) and 3 awards in 2013 including Gold for the video 'Summer' (feat. 'There Is'). Currently, WiL is recording his 5th studio album due out later this year.
After the show, attendees will enjoy a catered reception sponsored by Alley Kat Brewery, a silent auction filled with items donated by local artists, and a very special post-show concert by 2011 Artists for Life Alumni, The Derina Harvey Band. The evening also will also feature performances by 2012 Artists for Life Alumni, Send in the Girls Burlesque, 2013 Artists for Life Alumni, The Carolines, and the DJ stylings of 2013 Artists for Life Alumni The Urban Monks.
