Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo announced that Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother, Gone Girl, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Doogie Howser, M.D.), will appear at Calgary Expo for it’s 10th Anniversary. Mr. Harris is a People’s Choice Award, Critic’s Choice Award, Primetime Emmy Award, and Tony Award-winning actor as well as a writer, producer, director, comedian, magician, singer, and television host. He was named one of TIME’s most influential people in 2010 and was cemented into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011. Calgary Expo will be his first personal appearance at a fan convention, and will follow his triumphant turn as host of The Academy Awards in 2015 and Tony Award-winning performance as the title character in Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway.
Mr. Harris will appear at Calgary Expo on Friday, April 17 only. Fans can meet him via an autograph signing or at a scheduled photo op (pre-order of photo ops is available on calgaryexpo.com), and can attend his panel in the Corral (exact schedule TBA).

The 10th Anniversary of Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo will take place on April 16-19, 2015 at Stampede Park is expected to attract more than 100,000 attendees. Tickets are on sale now via Calgaryexpo.com. Four-Day Passes and Saturday tickets are sold out. Limited single-day tickets are still available for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.

2015 marks the 10th anniversary for the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo. The show, founded by Calgarian Kandrix Foong, grew to welcome over 97,000 attendees over four days in 2014, making it the second largest pop culture convention in Canada (behind Fan Expo Canada Toronto), and the largest independent pop culture convention in Canada. The Expo has expanded from one hall (half of Big Four, upper level) to take over more than 400,000 square feet of exhibition space at Stampede Park. Expansion also took place across Western Canada, to include Edmonton Comic & Entertainment Expo (which completed year three in September 2014 with 47,000 attendees), and Saskatoon Comic & Entertainment Expo (which completed year one in September 2014 with 8,800 attendees).
