5 YEAR TOTAL FUNDS RAISED NOW SURPASSES $100K
JTMF West is proud to announce the results for the 2014 Artists for Life event held Saturday, April 26, 2014 in The Club at the Citadel. This year’s event raised a JTMF West record of $35,000, up from $27,000 in 2013. The results of the 2014 event bring JTMF West’s 5-year fundraising total to $102,000.
JTMF West is a local arts organization, created with the mandate of raising funds for HIV/AIDS and LGBT and at-risk youth support services while celebrating the philanthropic spirit of artist. The 2014 event was the 5th Anniversary All-Star Artists for Life and supported HIV Edmonton and Camp fYrefly.
2014 Artists for Life was again presented by TD Bank Group and City Television, with additional support from the Edmonton Eskimos, Minsos Stewart Masson, Coast Edmonton Plaza, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, RR Donnelly, Alley Kat Brewery, and RSS Designs.
This year’s headliner Wil rocked a sold out crowd in The Club at the Citadel and ended his set with a roaring standing ovation. The event also featured performances by Send in the Girls Burlesque, The Urban Monks, and The Derina Harvey Band. Lindsey Walker was featured in a live auction with a special house concert going to one lucky bidder.
Hosted by Breakfast Television’s Bridget Ryan, the evening featured more than 50 artists between the on-stage talent and participants in the auction. 2014 Artists for Life also featured a reception sponsored by Alley Kat Brewery.
