Solar Café opened up earlier this year and GayCalgary.com was proud to do a food review at their establishment in our June Issue. They just recently received their Liquor License, so congratulations are in order! They’ve now been added to the list of Calgary Gay and Lesbian Bars in our directory. They’re located at #100, 1011 1st Street SW and are open 7 days a week.

Also, we were honored to attend the fabulous grand opening of Indulge, a new Lesbian in our community located at 620, 8th Avenue SW. Although it’s geared toward women, men are certainly welcome. Good news if you love to dance - they have a dance floor and DJ to satisfy that urge. They are currently open for Fridays and Saturdays from 4pm to close.

We are proud to offer GLCSA free advertising for their main yearly event – Impressions 2004 Art Show, Sale and Auction. This occasion spans two evenings and will have art, music, wine, silent auctions and raffles. GLCSA (Gay and Lesbian Community Services Association) has a variety of different support and social groups for the community. Check out the GayCalgary.com events calendar in our Magazine or on our website for more events from the GLCSA sub-groups like Between Men and Choices.

Last issue we began distributing our magazine across Canada, and it was great to hear from so many people about how they enjoyed seeing our publication. We are actively working on more places to situate the magazine in Calgary and across Canada. If you know of an appropriate place that does not currently carry our publication, please let us know at (403) 543-6960 or email us at magazine@gaycalgary.com. Also, if issues start running short at your usual pick-up location, don’t forget that you can read it online at www.gaycalgary.com.
