Tinhorn Creek Vineyards is celebrating the great outdoors this summer by pairing up their world-class wine with great food and music in celebration of the sunshine: Covert Farms Field Dinner, Movie Nights, Food Day Canada, Tinhorn's own Canadian Concert Series and coming soon the New Out & Back Tour. 

July marks the beginning of strawberry season and Miradoro’s award-winning Chef Jeff Van Geest will team up with Covert Farms’ Chef Derek Uhlemann for a ‘Farm Field’ dinner on July 11, 2013. Celebrating delicious organic strawberries, the chefs will create a multi-course culinary tribute to the fruit and pair with pretty-in-pink rose wines. Farmer/winemaker Gene Covert will discuss growing vines and strawberries side by side and Tinhorn Creek’s vineyard manager, Andrew Moon, will speak about South Okanagan terroir and its unique desert challenges. This casual dinner starts at 6.30pm and will be served family-style on rustic wooden tables in the strawberry fields of Covert Farms. Kick off your shoes and sit back under the stars to watch a classic movie in Tinhorn Creek’s outdoor amphitheatre on July 19 and August 9, 2013. Miradoro will be serving special themed menus for dinner and during the movie they will have a concession with popcorn, gelato and other treats. Tinhorn Creek wines will be available to purchase by the bottle or by the glass. Movies began at dusk, approximately 9.30pm, and tickets are available at the gate, which opens at 9pm. Tickets cost $15 each for adults, $10 for under 19s and entry is free for children under 6.

It sounds like summer at the vineyard with Tinhorn Creek’s much-anticipated annual event, the Canadian Concert Series, combining Canada’s top musical talent with award-winning wines. Jackie Treehorn will be performing on June 22, 2013, The Matinee take the stage on July 27, 2013 and Five Alarm Funk will get you dancing in the vineyard on August 24, 2013. On August 3, 2013 Miradoro at Tinhorn Creek will be taking part in Food Day Canada, along with 250 other restaurants across the country. Anticipated to start early in the fall, visitors can take a complimentary self-guided Out & Back Tour of Tinhorn Creek Vineyards. Go ‘behind the vines’ and explore the vineyards and back-of-house before heading back to the winery for a tasting.
