A Contemporary Twist on Historic Dinner Theater

On Friday, September 26th, 2008 Theatre Junction GRAND and Lougheed House team up to offer an unforgettable evening of dinner and theatre. “With such a significant past between Theatre Junction GRAND and Lougheed House, we invite the public to join us as we make history once again,” says David Gardner, Marketing & Sales Manager for Theatre Junction GRAND.

Built in 1912 and located in The Lougheed Building built by Senator James Lougheed, Theatre Junction GRAND is one of the few remaining Canadian theatres built before the First World War. “A partnership between Theatre Junction GRAND and Lougheed House is a natural fit as it showcases two of the Senator’s historic landmarks,” says Blane Hogue, Executive Director of Lougheed House. “We anticipate this event to launch a series of future ‘Historic’ dinner and theatre collaborations.”

Theatre Junction GRAND and Lougheed House invite the public to dinner for 6pm at Lougheed House (707 Thirteenth Ave SW - Free Parking). Guests will enjoy a gourmet appetizer and cocktail reception from The Restaurant at Lougheed House while they mingle with fellow theatre lovers. At 7:30 pm, bus transportation will take the group to Theatre Junction GRAND to see Radio Macbeth created by New York's SITI Company and presented by Theatre Junction. Following the show, enjoy desert and coffee in Velvet Restaurant (located inside Theatre Junction GRAND). As the evening winds down, transportation will once again be provided back to Lougheed House.

The price of An Historic Night is $80 per person (GST included) and includes dinner at Lougheed House, a ticket for Radio Macbeth, and bus transportation to and from Theatre Junction GRAND.
