Reality TV Star Andrew Shayde, from the Emmy award-winning The Amazing Race, will be releasing his first 96-page graphic novel this week called Monsters Among Us.
In Monsters Among Us urban legends are real. Billionaire Solomon Kane believes his family has been charged by God to rid of the world of mythical creatures. A mysterious crew comprised of gentle beasts including Bigfoot, a Chupacabra, and the Mothman must now unite and fight to survive.
Written by Andrew Shayde with art by Levi Zimer and Magic Eye Studio.
"The villain in this book reminds me so much of Donald Trump. A man with money who thinks it’s his right to rid the country of anyone that doesn’t meet his own twisted standards." says Shayde.
"I wrote this book before Donald made a real name for himself in this election but when I read it over again the thought makes my skin crawl at the comparisons. While Solomon Kane in the book hunts Bigfoot and Nessie Trump is on this hunt for immigrants." mentioned Andrew.
"Humans have so much hate inside them whether spawned from their religion or their experiences and that is exactly what made Solomon Kane such a horror. Comparisons to the Monsters in this story are absolutely clear to the experiences of minorities around the world right now." Shayde continued.
Portland based Storm Entertainment has worked with other reality stars in the past such as the Fabulous Beekman Boys and Les Stroud: Survivorman.
