OUTtv announces the premiere of Kitty 911, a new half-hour docu-series airing on Sunday evenings at 8pm ET/PT.
Following the incredible efforts of the Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association, or VOKRA, Kitty 911 promises to entertain and engage the animal lover in everyone through compelling rescues and heart melting adoptions.
One of five brand-new OUTtv original productions released this year, Kitty 911 follows the passionate and inspiring work of Karen, Maria, Alannah and the entire team at VOKRA. For nearly fifteen years this no-kill, non-profit organization has worked tirelessly to save the lives of Vancouver’s homeless feline population. But with the numbers of abandoned cats and kittens on the rise VOKRA faces an uphill battle in their quest to love, respect and protect these beautiful animals.
"Our mission is to end cat overpopulation and homelessness so we're all very excited to share our work and our lives with viewers at home," says VOKRA spokesperson Alannah Hall, "cat scratches and all!"
Each of the thirty-minute episodes that comprise Kitty 911’s ten episode first season documents the day-to-day drama that the volunteers of VOKRA face in order to successfully rescue, rehabilitate and foster rescued cats and kittens.
