CUFF, Fairy Tales and Hole in the Wall Studios partner for another edition of ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW during Pride Week
For the second consecutive year, the Calgary Underground Film Festival, Fairy Tales and Hole in the Wall Studios have partnered for a unique presentation of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW during Pride Week.
"We’re so thrilled to be partnering with Fairy Tales and Hole in the Wall Studios for an event during Pride. CUFF is always seeking to collaborate on events taking place in the community," said Brenda Lieberman, Calgary Underground Film Festival Director & Programmer. "We love how involved the audience gets in this film, it’s such a fun experience!"
Since its release in 1975, ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW has developed a cult following, with cinemas around the world putting on screenings with live shows and audience participation.
The CUFF / Fairy Tales / Hole in the Wall Studios event takes place on Sunday, September 4 at Globe Cinema (617 8 Ave SW). Doors at 10:30 pm. Pre-show at 11:30 pm. Movie at midnight. The live preshow features performances by Phil and Fake Mustache. Like all ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW screenings costumes and full audience participation is encouraged.
Tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Prop kits are available for purchase. The licensed event is 18+ and sponsored by Big Rock Brewery.
ABOUT THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW
Release in 1975, The Rocky Horror Picture Show (RHPS) is a British musical comedy horror film. Directed by Jim Sharman and starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, and Barry Bostwick, the story centres on a young couple whose car breaks down in the rain near a castle occupied by strangers in elaborate costumes and owned by a mad scientist / alien transvestite.
