The Vancouver Pride Society is delighted to announce that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will march in the 38th Vancouver Pride Parade on Sunday, July 31, 2016. As the Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Trudeau previously marched in several pride parades, including the 2014 and 2015 Pride Parades in Vancouver.

Almost a month before he arrives in Vancouver, Prime Minister Trudeau will march in the Toronto Pride Parade on July 3, and become the first sitting Prime Minister to do so. When he marches in the Vancouver Pride Parade, it will be the first time a sitting Prime Minister will take part in our festivities.

We are excited to once again have the opportunity to welcome Prime Minister Trudeau to our beautiful city and fabulous parade. Together, with the recent tragedy in Orlando still fresh in our thoughts, we will march in solidarity and continue to show we are Better Together.
