For the first time, Calgary Expo offers early bird ticket pricing until January 3, 2016. Tickets now on sale for 11^th annual pop culture festival, April 28-May 1, 2016 at Stampede Park

Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo (Calgary Expo) will welcome two actresses featured on Netflix’s hit show Orange is the New Black for it’s 11th annual event, April 28-May 1, 2016. Lea Delaria & Jackie Cruz will appear at Calgary Expo 2016. Fans can hear from them during a spotlight Orange is the New Black panel (included in admission) and meet them at autograph & photo op sessions (additional costs apply).

Tickets to Calgary Expo are on sale now, and for the first time, ticket buyers can take advantage of early bird pricing. Weekend Passes (available at several different levels) are discounted at least $15 while supplies last until January 3, 2016. Tickets are already going fast - Celebrity Fast Pass tickets (Calgary Expo’s most premium ticket offering) sold out within minutes when they went on sale earlier this month.

Lea Delaria seems to have achieved overnight stardom with her stand-out role as "Carrie ‘Big Boo’ Black" in the Netflix hit series Orange is the New Black. However, DeLaria’s multi-faceted career as a comedian, actress and jazz musician, has in fact, spanned decades. Lea holds the distinction of being the first openly gay comic on television in America. She’s received Obie & Theater World Awards and Drama Desk & Ovation award nominations for her work on stage in On The Town, The Boys From Syracuse, and The Rocky Horror Show. She is also an accomplished jazz vocalist. Lea was the featured vocalist at the 50th Anniversary of the Newport Jazz Festival, and has performed in some of the most prestigious houses in the world including Carnegie Hall, the Chicago Symphony, Hollywood Bowl, The Royal Albert Hall and the Sydney Opera House. She has six jazz records. Her latest, House Of David delaria+bowie=jazz, was released Spring 2015.

Jackie Cruz is an actress, musician, and model best known for her role as "Marisol ‘Flaca’ Gonzales" on Orange is the New Black. Originally a recurring character, her character is poised for growth in the fourth season as Cruz has been listed as Series Regular.
