Farnum Construction Management takes the lead to ensure ZOOGALA 2014 really takes off.
Farnum Construction Management is delighted to present ZOOGALA 2014: Gallivant. Zoogala will include amazing selections of food and wine in addition to featuring local designers who will present their animal inspired work in a unique fashion show Roaming Among the Wild.
ZOOGALA happens at the Calgary Zoo on Friday September 5, 2014 and relies on corporate sponsorship to make the event successful. Farnum Construction Management has taken the lead in corporate social responsibility and stepped up as the title sponsor for ZOOGALA 2014.
"I was completely taken back when I first saw the total damage at the Zoo following the 2013 flood" explains Sean Farnum, CEO and President at Farnum Construction Management (Farnum). "I knew instantly that the Calgary Zoo was going to need as much help as they could get. We were able to help to rebuild the Zoo and sponsoring the ZOOGALA 2014 is another way we can contribute."
The Calgary Zoo hosts approximately 1.2 million visitors per year and proceeds from fundraising events are earmarked for various conservation efforts. Dedicated biologists in the Centre for Conservation & Research work in Canada and across the world to help endangered animals once again thrive in the wild. They focus on species recovery and through the Husky Energy Endangered Species Program, are recognized as a North American leader in the science of species reintroduction.
The CCR specializes in reintroduction programs for some of Canada’s most imperiled species such as the swift fox, Vancouver Island marmot, whooping crane, Northern leopard frogs, black-tailed prairie dogs, black-footed ferrets, Greater sage-grouse and woodland caribou.
This year the event will highlight the whooping crane, swift fox and leopard frog.
