Dear Editor,
We would like to send a heartfelt thank you out to everyone who attended and participated in the ISCCA’s ground-breaking charity drag show at Cougars Sports Bar in Turner Valley, AB on October 25th.
The show, organized by Laurie (Cougar’s owner) and Debi Leong and produced by Justine Tyme and Fred Udey, raised approximately $3000.00 for the Children’s Wish Foundation. We would like to thank Laurie for providing her space to the ISCCA and for being open to new ideas of entertainment. It is also amazing to be more transparent as an organization to the province as a whole, gay, straight and everyone else.
Thank you again to everyone who helped make this event a success!
Sincerely,
TMISMs

Dear Editor,
A Nurse Practitioner just came by to visit her mom who sits next to me in my office. She was the NP that first gave life to my little boy, Andrew and whom we got to know quite well during our stay in the NICU. She was with us when Andrew passed away.
We were talking about my fundraising and the chairs we’re going to get for the unit. I mentioned that I will be at the hospital selling my pom poms on the 31st. She asked if I was going to be dressed up and I said yes. (Up until now, she really had no idea I was “Marni” the Empress) She laughed and said one day, she was walking a colleague’s office and noticed a magazine on her desk. She flipped through the pages not really getting why such a magazine would be in the NICU. She phoned her colleague to tease her to which she replied, “Take another look.” When she got to the story about me it all clicked. She thought it was great!
I don’t know how the magazine got there but I thought you would really appreciate knowing that these articles get noticed even way outside of the community. I can’t thank you enough again for all of your efforts in supporting my reign and my fundraising efforts.
Sincerely,
HMISM
