Tall, blonde, and beautiful, yet Morgan McMichaels still exclaims, "I look like shit! I’m drunk and sweaty!"
An American, Morgan is known (of course) for her stint on the second season of Drag Race. It’s been awhile since then – barring her appearance on Allstars – but that certainly hasn’t led to any gaps in her calendar. She’s been traversing the Canadian Pride scene quite extensively this past year.
L. A., of course, has been her stomping grounds, but she adores the scene in Calgary. "Calgary, I just love."
The difference between Calgary and L.A, in terms of bar scenes? "I think there’s a lot more options in L.A., because it’s the gay mecca really. There’s a bar on every corner, a place to go every night, a drag show every night."
Viewers of the show will always remember one thing: Morgan is charismatic, unforgettably so, and it’s something that shines out of her not only one-on-one but on stage as well. Jumping on and off the stage, running through the audience, all of it. The energy extends to afterwards, where Morgan mixes and mingles to the best of he ability. "Performing is my favourite part. Meeting people after the show. I got out and I take pictures, talk to people, I make sure everyone’s having a good time. I’ll be the last bitch in the bar tonight – I want to make sure everyone’s got that last picture, that last signature. People deserve it, they’re spending a lot of money to come see us, and without your people you’re not a queen. You’re just a man in a dress. People make the queen."
