Every year, Jasper Pizza has decorated their windows for Jasper Pride. For 2017, Jasper Pizza wanted to create a rainbow pizza too as part of the celebrations.  For those who like their traditional pizza, this is not for you.

Jasper Pizza came up with unique ways of showcasing the pride colours on their rainbow pizza. Tomatoes for red, corn for yellow, green peppers for green, blue was food coloured pineapple, and purple is red onion which turns purple when cooked. Even though orange was not directly in the layout of the rainbow, I assume that the melted 100% real mozzarella cheese and thick crust would be their representation of orange.

When I walked in, the restaurant was very busy. The kitchen is open concept, and it was very interesting watching them put together pizzas for orders. As you watch them, you try to figure out what type of pizza they are making, and which ones are most popular. The chefs are very skilled since they were making them very quickly to keep up with the demand.

When they served my order, I think I saw the most colourful pizza ever. But taste is everything when you have pizza. The crust is perfect, nicely covered in toppings and cheese. Having the vegetables arranged in a pattern did provide you different tastes as you ate through a slice. I think that was the first time I have had corn on a pizza. It works, it provided a little bit of sweetness in those bites with the sweet tartness of the pineapple. I know people don’t like pineapple on their pizza, but I do enjoy it as well as non-traditional pizzas.

They do have a great selection of other pizzas on their menu that you can order year-round. Everything from your traditional thick crust pepperoni & mushroom, to Mexican or California pizza in either 10" or 12". They do also thin crust pizza’s that they cook in a wood burning oven that are 10" in size. For those who are vegetarian, they do have several pizzas for you too.

Jasper Pizza are well known for their mouth-watering pizzas but if you feel like having something different, they do have a full menu that includes salads, chicken wings, and different pastas, steaks, ribs, burgers and more.
