While Okanagan Spirits does make their own line of gin, vodka, and whiskey, we were much more interested in their award winning specialty spirits.  We sampled a number of their deliciously sweet fruit-based liqueurs and brandies, made from 100% BC fruit.  Out of curiosity we also sampled their Aquavit, and Taboo Genuine Absinthe.

Their 25 varieties of spirits are produced in their traditional copper-pot still.  The staff on duty gave us a rundown of this complex piece of equipment as it was brewing a batch of peach brandy, but most of the finer details about its inner workings went in one ear and out the other.  (In our defense, we are light drinkers and even the tiny quantity from the samples made it a challenge to think clearly!)

We couldn’t resist buying a sampler pack containing four of their fruit liqueurs, for us to enjoy at home.
