Dear Editor,
What a difference a year makes! This was a banner year. Why? Two people: Dyna Myte and Wolfgang! How fortunate were we to have such an incredible Empress and Emperor who gave more of themselves than anyone could imagine. Have we ever seen such integrity and commitment to our city?
Due to their exceptional leadership, the house of the 30th reign of the ISCCA has set a supreme precedent. Talk about giving back to the people; a record breaker for Calgary at $40,000! As one of the blessed recipients, on behalf of the board, volunteers and all the wonderfully supportive friends and sponsors of Artists for Quality of Life, may we say THANK YOU Dyna Myte and Wolfgang, for your generous donation and never-ending support of AFQOL.
With true respect and admiration, as Donnie Peters would say, "go with love" for you are loved.

Dear Editor,
I want to thank everyone who checked their coat and pants at the door at the Eagle on April 14th. I am fundraising for the Alberta Cancer Foundation’s Underwear Affair 10km run on June 9th to help support finding a cure to cancers below the waist.
Ron kept the bar warm to enable us to strut around in more comfort on what I hope to become a yearly event of an underwear party at the Eagle. I want to thank all those who helped with donating door prizes on that night: Priape Calgary (thanks Shane), Adult Depot on 16th Ave and 14th Street SW (thanks Jerry), the Eagle of course, and many others helped along the way.
All in all, the event helped me raise over $400.00 and I’m still impressed with the turnout. Thanks again!

Dear Editor,
As our reign draws to a close we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has come out to support ourselves, the XXXI reign and the charities we are supporting this year. We could not have accomplished any of what we have without the continued help and support of the GLBT community and people like you. Thank you, thank-you, thank you!! A special thank you goes out to our friends at Gay Calgary and Edmonton magazine for their continued support.
It has been a great pleasure to reign in one of the greatest cities in Canada, home to the Wildest Party Children.
The culmination of our year is of course the upcoming 32nd annual charity Coronation Ball happening at the Hellenic Hall on the evening of Saturday, May 26, 2007. We would like to take this opportunity to invite everyone to join us for a fun filled evening of laughs, memories and a damn good time.
See you at the ball!!
We remain

Dear friends,
College is out, and I’m back at The SHARP Foundation for my second summer as communications assistant. After what was an incredibly busy school-year, an incredibly busy and exciting summer has arrived.
Things have been moving at a fast pace at the Foundation. There are some new faces at the office, some exciting events planned but most importantly, we have the community’s continued support.
As this is only my second day back at the Foundation since last year, I’m still getting re-oriented, yet I find myself overwhelmed with the generosity of our community. Most recently, Empress Dyna Myte and Emperor Wolfgang donated over $5000, pushing their donations over the past year over the $10,000 mark. We cannot express enough thanks to all the entertainers with the Imperial Sovereign Court of the Chinook Arch. Special recognition to The Twisted Element and The Texas Lounge for providing the venue to host ISCCA’s fundraisers.
The Twisted Element has taken its own creative initiative. Cliff and RJ have purchased 10 mountain bikes, and as of April 15, each Sunday a bike will be given away. You can have your chance to win one of these bikes by bringing Canadian Tire money, or a $2 donation to Twisted each Sunday until June 17th. All proceeds will go to The SHARP Foundation. We would like to thank Cliff and RJ for their generosity and their unique idea for supporting the Foundation.
We would also like to take this opportunity to recognize our other dedicated supporters: Alberta Rockies Gay Rodeo Association, Money-Pennies Eatery & Bar, and The Calgary Eagle.
Last, but certainly not least, we would like to thank GayCalgary.com for their continued support. Rob and Steve never hesitate to go above and beyond, helping us out whenever possible.
On behalf of everyone at The SHARP Foundation, I would like to express our sincere thanks to our supporters. It is because of you we are able to ensure our clients are receiving care aimed at their individual physical, medical, psycho-social and spiritual needs.
We look forward to seeing you all in the future.
Sincerely,
A.J. Hrychuk
