Hi everybody!
I'm a 35 year old guy that will soon be moving to Canada. I'm trying to figure out the best place for me to live in given I'll be going on a working holiday visa, which allows me to work and travel around for one year. I like pretty much everything I've heard/read about Calgary. My main concern has to do with people calling it "the most conservative province in all of Canada". Is it ok to walk in public with your boyfriend - let's say - holding hands? Are gay people treated differently? Is it safe for gays to live there?
Would anyone be kind enough to shine a light on this matter for me?
I'm so eager to move to Canada and travel around and across this beautiful country of yours. I have so many questions and doubts. Most importantly, though, I'm more than ready to be on that plane, arrive there, find an ok job, and start getting to know places and people.
Thanks anyone who will take the time to respond to my post.
Cheers!
