...hey  guys...
why is nobody  posting messages in here... ?

This is a great site and perfect place for starting a group...

(How about a gay potluck group... )
Gathering of guys where each person is expected to bring a dish of food to be shared among the group.

Hey Pex,

The forum just launched last night, so I don't think anyone has realized it's even here yet...

There's a post in the Website Updates room where they say that they're trying to migrate all the posts from their old forum over to this new one so that it doesn't look so barren.

You may also want to check out the Suggestions board, where you can post suggestions about possible rooms to be added.

I am likely in the wrong forum, but this is the closest to what I am seeking?  My son is dating a girl, but when I left my parent's home late on Friday night/ Early Saturday morning I happened upon my son and his best friend (since they were pre-school aged) involved in an intimate situation.  I am totally supportive of him and whatever he wants, the horror I felt about what I saw is TOTALLY related to the fact he is my 18 year old SON and the gender of the other person involved is of no concern to me.  Nobody wants to think of their child in a sexual act, never mind see it.

What I need to know is how do I let him know that I support whatever he wants from his life?  Both he and his friend FREAKED OUT that I saw what I saw (I left right away) and he texted me relentlessly to tell me to forget it and not to judge him.  I don't judge him!  But he doesn't want to talk about it, and I also respect that.  I have ensured that I have texted him as a mother usually would about the mundane stupid stuff Mum's do.  I saw him for the first time today, and I hugged him and told him I loved him.

How do I let him know that it is his life, his feelings and his decision as to what he is interested in or who he is committed to?  He said that night that he felt so ashamed, and I don't want him to feel that way!

I realize this is a friendship site related to meeting people, but if anyone can give me some advice, I would be really grateful:)

I think you have said it beautifully all ready.  Just tell him his feelings are normal and valid, and not to be ashamed of himself, and that neither are you.  Tell himn its OK to talk to you openly about it, that you are interested in his life and want to be part of it.
Then leave it up to him with no presure.

I agree with slender29.  Let him know that you don't judge him and that when he is ready, that he can come and talk with you.  He needs the space to work through what he's feeling.  It can be so scary...at least that's been my experience.  I wish my mom was open enough to hear my heart, so kudos to you.

@ali_cat5683..... Just to know that your son has a father who is as supportive as you is great in itself.  Let your son know that you are behind him 100% and with judgement. It is hard for a son to come out to his peers, let alone his parents.  But just let him know that when he is ready to talk, you will be there with open arms, and a heart to listen. You are on the right track with just accepting him.

if you would like to chat more, feel free to email me.  "/A>  I come from a very supportive family so i would like to hlep you and your son through this!
