Subject: How do I use Bold/Italic/Underline formatting in Forum Posts?
You may have noticed that manually placing HTML in your message body does not work.  As a security feature of the forum, we disallow most HTML otherwise a tag like
would majorly screw up the layout of this page, even outside of this posted message.

There are a few exceptions for basic formatting.  Note that spaces have been added before the closing > of each tag so that you can see them.

To apply bolding to your text, surround it with bold tags as follows: <b >my text</b >.

To apply italics to your text, surround it with italic tags as follows: <i >my text</i >.

To apply underlining to your text, surround it with underline tags as follows: <u >my text</u >.

Here are some examples of incorrectly formatted tags that are not replaced:
hello there
hello there
hello there

As always, you can use the "Preview my Message" link below to ensure your formatting appears the way you intend it to.
