Dion Boink is a well-recognized face with the Imperial and Sovereign Court of the Chinook Arch (ISCCA) and in the Calgary LGBT Community in general for over 15 years.  He holds the titles of Mr. Gay Calgary 15, bestowed on him by the now defunct Rainbow Lambda Society, as well as the ISCCA’s Emperor 26 of Calgary, and Regent Emperor 29 of Calgary, and many more.  He still travels quite frequently to represent the ISCCA.

Every December for the past 5 years, Dion has hosted his World AIDS Day Fundraiser.  This year it took place at both Backlot and Hyde (downstairs to Vinyl) and raised an estimated $5,500 toward the AIDS Calgary Lunch Program.

Otherwise, Dion works as manager of a manufacturing facility.  He lives in Taber but his partner of 5 years, Steven, to whom he recently got married, lives in Calgary and so he comes to town often.  He has a 21 year old son who is totally supportive of what he does, was the best man at his wedding, and was the first recipient of the ISCCA scholarship.  Dion has been bowling for 6 years as part of the Rainbow Riders bowling league, and has competed for the past 10 years at the ARGRA rodeo.
