Coronation 33 is happening on May 31st, where community members are encouraged to come out to the Hellenic Hall (even if not attending the Coronation) to vote for the Emperor and Empress candidates. As there is only one candidate for each title, ballots will contain a yes-or-no vote for each.

It is with great pleasure and honor that I have been accepted as the lone candidate for the position of Empress 33 of the ISCWR. I view this as my opportunity to give back to an organization that has given me so much and to honor those that have gone down this road before me so that we can all be safe and happy with who we are.

If elected, I wish to support the UofA AIDS Research Center in honor of our past Empress XXIX, Sticky Vicky, and to continue a legacy she started with her hard work and dedication with the Roost AIDS Benefit. I also wish to support the Edmonton and area Children’s Hospital NICUs in memory of my son, Andrew. I wish to raise enough money to purchase special chairs for the units that will allow more parents to hold the tiniest and sickest of babies in hopes that more of these little ones are held sooner, more often and for longer so that more children can eventually go home with their mommies and daddies.

Should I be fortunate enough to earn your votes, it is my desire to represent the members of the ISCWR and the entire community with the honor, respect, dignity and integrity that is expected of a reigning Monarch. I want you to be proud of your Monarchs and your involvement with the ISCWR.

Candidate for Emperor XXXIII

Sundance Lonestar

Hello everyone, my name is Sundance Lonestar and I am this year’s Candidate for Emperor 33 of Edmonton.

To start, I have been involved with the ISCWR (Imperial Sovereign Court of the Wild Rose) here in Edmonton for over four years. Over those years I have learned a lot about the Court system, what it means and what they do. To know that you are doing something to help someone or many, is a great feeling that you can only get when you do things like this.

I started out taking pictures, selling shooters, tickets and a few other things. After a few years I was elected as Imperial Crown Prince 31 and now a few years later I am running for Emperor 33. It is a big responsibility and there are many challenges along the way, but I feel that I am ready for these challenges and I will do my best to accept what may lie ahead.

I like meeting people and listening and hearing what they have to say and also I like to make new friends as well. In my past travels with the Court of Edmonton I have met many people and some have become very good friends. Now with your votes I can continue to represent the Court and raise funds for charities, so please come out on May 31,2008 to Coronation 33 and vote yes for Sundance.
