On behalf of the ISCCA, I would like to congratulate you on the 4 year anniversary of your magazine, as well as the 15 year anniversary of your website.
Gay Calgary Magazine has had a long association with the Court. When I reviewed the archive of magazine covers on your website, I was reminded of just how often you have featured our reigning and former Monarchs, a tradition that began with your very first issue. Furthermore, since that first issue, you have shown the respect you have for the drag community by devoting space to it in every single issue.
It is almost impossible to measure your contributions to our organization. You sponsor our major functions with free advertising. Our events are listed in your magazine and on your website. You host our website for us, and when we can’t handle updating that website ourselves, you step in and make certain that it is up to date. Our organization is kept in the public eye when you print photos from our events, and profile our organization. Most importantly, by photographing or filming all of our major events, you are helping to create a photo history of our organization. The truly amazing part of this is not that you do it for free (which is pretty amazing, come to think of it), but that you do it for so many other organizations as well.
As we celebrate this milestone, let me just wrap up by saying thank you for everything that you do that helps our organization be successful, and I hope this is only the beginning of a very long association between the ISCCA and yourselves.
